Last Saturday, 1st May was the first triathlon of the season held at Oldbury, Wilshire. It was great to get back to competitive racing again and Beachborough Tri club had a total of 10 children racing ranging in age groups from Youth to TS2.
Due to Covid restrictions parents were unable to watch the swimming. However they made up for it by cheering all of the Beachborough Tri Club members around both the cycle and run courses. With the wet weather before the start of the race we were very lucky that the course was dry when racing began. The cycle course was on grass and had some uphill and downhill sections but everyone seemed to enjoy it. The run course was also on grass and it was mostly flat with only a little hill in one part of the course.
It was great to have so many people from Beachborough Tri club competing and I am sure that everyone was happy to be back racing again. It was a very positive start to the season and there are lots more races to look forward to over the coming months.
