Change is coming and we want to let you know what we are planning to get the club back up and running.
Membership 2021
If you have not paid your £15 for the year you are not deemed to be a ‘member’ of the club and so won’t be covered by our insurance. So can I ask that everyone completes their membership forms asap. DON’T email the form to Laura as we have to have a hard copy on file – so can you transfer the money and then give her a hard copy – leave it at Beachborough School behind the front desk or bring it to the first session.
Saturday Biking and Run Brick session Training
This will restart at Beachborough after easter. The start date will be 24th April (hopefully.) We will confirm this nearer the time. The cost will be the same and you will have to pay for the whole block. There will be 9 sessions:-
24th April
1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd May
12th, 19th, 26th June
3rd July
Swimming Training
Restarts Monday 12th April it will be on the same nights,
Monday 7-8 pm
Wednesday 7-8 pm (James Bridge to be Head Coach for this session)
Friday 7-8 pm and Masters 8-9 pm.
Sunday 4-5 pm TS and T1 and T2 and above
5-6 pm (Selected athletes 2-hour session 4-6 pm)
Fees
For April only if you pay £40 per month it will be £25.
If you normally pay £30 it will be £15.
If you normally pay £60 for 2 children it will be £40.
There will be no increase in the monthly payments this year.
Woodgreen 50 m pool, Banbury
We have secured 3 lanes starting Wednesday 7th April ( there will be 2 lanes for T3 and above, and 1 masters lane.) at Woodgreen 6-7 pm and would like to invite all those athletes that are T3 and above to join us. It will be an alternative to the Wednesday night at Brackley. It will be a wetsuit swim as it isn’t heated until mid may. So only for those athletes that are going to be doing open water. If you choose to do this session then please can you email me at hesterpollock@hotmail.com so I can gauge numbers. We have a limited amount of spaces so it’s first come first served cost is £20 payable upfront for the whole month unless you normally pay £40 per month then it’s included – there is no pay as you go. When we first start it will not be for the full hour, so expect a 15/20min (or less) session as we get acclimatised to the cold water. It is not suitable for younger siblings – as they will get too cold.
Beachborough Triathlon 2021
Sadly we have decided as a committee not to run this event. Role on 2022.
Save the date – Beachborough Open Water Aquathlon
4th July 2021 – we are going to be running an open water Aquathlon at Bicester Open water lake. More information to follow. But save the date.
Beachborough Camp 2021 at Sibford
Cancelled – again we just don’t know what’s happening so we will skip to next year.
AGM
This will be held via Zoom. Sunday 11th April at 8 pm. We need more people to come forward to join the committee. Our Chairman Ollie Campbell is standing down and will need to be replaced. The link will be posted out later.
