This weekend my brother and I went to the Essex triathlon, part of the east triathlon series.
It was a pool swim which we had to snake, the pool was very nice, but I thought it was cold. The transition area was in the middle of the athletics track in front of the grandstand, my transition wasn’t my best!
We then had 3 laps of the bike which was on grass and a little bumpy, the Marshalls were encouraging us as parents weren’t allowed out into the field. My second transition was better, we then went back out of the athletics track for my run, where we had to turn at our correct turn points where we were given a different colour band for our age groups so they knew we got it right. As we came into the athletics track to the finish line the commentator was saying who everyone was on a loud speaker, which was nice.
