We competed in the IRC championships for the South Central Team at the weekend and it was amazing…..!!
The race was hosted by British Triathlon and was held at Mallory Park. The girls T2 team was Lauren, Katie, Mollie and Evie. We were all aiming to get into the A final, but we would have to compete in heats first.
As soon as we got into the venue we got changed into our Tri Suits (which were amazing ?) and then set up our transition ready for the race.
There were 2 waves, Lauren and Katie were in the first heat, and Mollie and Evie were in the second. After the heats, Katie was ranked 11th, Lauren 16th, Mollie 26th and Evie 39th. We were all pleased, and 3 of us managed to get into the A final! Our final result was Lauren 12th, Mollie 18th, Katie 21st in the A race, and Evie finished 17th in the B race.
The best part of the day was the sausage cobs, the new Tri Suits and hoodies and the team spirit!!!
