Beachborough Triathlon Club had great representation by our younger athletes at the Twyford Triathlon – all achieving some good results! This event was held at the same venue as the Duathlon earlier in the season but with the addition of the lovely outdoor pool. It was a beautiful day and the pool looked very inviting.
The swim start list for all age groups was interesting as there was a real mixture of swim abilities in the pool at the same time. For some of our athletes, this proved to make for a difficult race!
After the swim, there was a long run to transition. The bike course incorporated a steady incline and a nice downhill – so a challenging course. The run took place on the main playing field in full view of the supporting spectators.
A huge well done to both Isabella and Verity who took part in their first race last Sunday at Beachborough and enjoyed it so much they asked their parents to enter them into another race. Congratulations girls.
