We would like to take this opportunity to introduce Beachborough Triathlon Club. We are based at Brackley Leisure Centre where we do our swim training and spinning. Our run training is with our associate Ros Kelling, at Banbury Harriers. For the younger members of the club TS – TriStar 3 (8-13 years) there is Saturday morning bike skills and run training, held a Beachborough School 9 am – 10:30 am.
Having raced all distances in triathlon competing for GB Age group at World Champs and European Championships, and distances up to Ironman, Hester the club head coach and founder of the new club has great enthusiasm and knowledge of the sport. She is a great inspiration to all the children bringing fun and positivity to all the training sessions.
The club hopes to bring on budding triathletes from young novice members aged 8 years, up to youth and adults hoping to take the sport to the next level. We already have some key youth and junior members who are racing at a national level in the Youth and Junior Super Series and age-group races. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned Triathlete there is a place for you at Beachborough, we cater for all abilities so come give it a ‘tri’.
Hester has been involved with Beachborough School Triathlon club for a number of years and now running alongside this she decided to take Triathlon to the next level and set up a new local club for children, youths and adults – giving everyone the chance to get involved in Triathlon! Triathlon can be a challenging and often tough sport to train for as there are 3 elements: Swim, Bike and Run, so to be able to train with like-minded children and adults it makes it a whole lot easier!
Why don’t you come along and give it ago – it’s good to challenge yourself!
